Whole Meal Salads

Cooking Class

Just like a hot steamy bowl of soup is a meal in and of itself, the same holds true for salads that contain substantial foodstuffs.  Whole-meal salads are comprised of more than lettuce sprinkled with a handful of vegetables.  Meats, grains and vegetables combine to make a refreshing supper on a warm summer evening.  Lynn suggests an array of choices for your dining pleasure.

 

Menu

  • Chinese Chicken Salad with rice stick noodles
  • Curried Rice Salad
  • Patio Salad – a mixed vegetable salad featuring beans and grilled steak
  • Thai Papaya Shrimp Salad – prawns and fruit mixed with a zesty chili-lime dressing

Lynn Bonner ~ Lynn has had a life-long passion for cooking. This interest began with cookie baking when she was small, entering pies at the county fair and gradually developed into a wider range of cooking interests, including the baking of wonderful artisan breads. Her mother left her to “experiment” in the kitchen. The only rule was, “clean up your mess.” Over the years, cooking has become a therapy of sorts after a long day in front of a computer.
